Star Wars: Starfighter": This movie villain fights against Ryan Gosling

Los Angeles. Canadian actor Ryan Gosling (44, "Barbie"), who is taking on the lead role in a new "Star Wars" film, has, according to US media reports, landed an antagonist in Mia Goth (31, "Emma," "Infinity Pool"). Goth is set to play a villainous role in "Star Wars: Starfighter," but details about the character have not yet been revealed, as the industry publication "Hollywood Reporter" reported.
The planned film, directed by Shawn Levy (56, "Deadpool & Wolverine"), is scheduled to have its world premiere in May 2027. Filming is scheduled to begin this fall. "Star Wars: Starfighter" will introduce new characters, Gosling and Levy said at a "Star Wars" event in Tokyo in April. "The film is a new adventure, it features new characters, and is set in a new time period," Levy said at the event.
The British Goth is known for her roles in the horror film trilogy "X," "Pearl," and "MaXXXine," among others. She will next appear alongside Jacob Elordi and Oscar Isaac in Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein." Most recently, she appeared in Christopher Nolan's new film "The Odyssey," starring Matt Damon, Zendaya, and Robert Pattinson.
The first film in the "Star Wars" saga was released in 1977, starring Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, and Mark Hamill. Films like "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi" followed in the 1980s. New spin-offs followed later. The "Star Wars" saga, created by screenwriter, producer, and director George Lucas, is one of the most successful film series in film history.
